The steam cap can be rinsed.
(1) Clean with a sponge with detergent diluted with
cold or lukewarm water.
(2) Wipe off the water using a dry cloth and
completely dry all parts.
Note
● Do not use the following methods to clean as the steam cap
may be deformed.
• Rinsing with hot water.
• Soaking in water.
• Rinsing while the cap is hot immediately after cooking.
● Be sure to clean the steam cap after with multigrain rice (e.g.
amaranth, barley, etc.). Otherwise, the steam cap may clog,
causing a problem to open the lid and the rice may not cook
properly.
● After cleaning the steam cap, wipe it off using a dry cloth
immediately. Not drying the cap can leave water droplet
marks.
(1) Clean with a sponge with detergent diluted with
cold or lukewarm water.
(2) Wipe off the water using a dry cloth and
completely dry all parts.
Note
● Be sure to remove any cooked rice or grains of rice on the
inner lid.
Any rice on the inner lid can prevent the lid from closing,
allow steam to leak out during cooking, or enable the lid to
open and the contents to spray out, resulting in burns or
other injuries.
● Be sure to clean the inner lid after cooking rice with barley
or other grains (amaranth, etc.). Otherwise the inner lid may
clog, causing problems opening the lid and rice may not
cook properly.
● If there is any food left, soak the lid in lukewarm water.
● Thoroughly wipe the inner lid using a dry cloth after cleaning
it so that no moisture remains in any gaps. Otherwise, water
drops may leave marks on the inner lid.
