LCD ERROR MESSAGES
The thermometer incorporates visual diagnosticmessages as follows:
'Hi' or 'Lo' is displayed when the temperature being
measuredis outside of the range of the instrument,'Hi'
when higherthan +2500C(4820F)and 'Lo' when lower
than-550C (-670F).
'Er2' is displayedwhen the thermometeris exposed to
rapid changes in the ambient temperature. 'Er3' is
displayed when the ambient temperature of the
thermometerEXCEEDSOOC (320F)OR +500C(1220F).
In both cases you should allow plenty of time (minimum
30 minutes) for the thermometer to stabilize to the
working/room temperature.
For all other error messagesit is necessaryto reset the
thermometer. To reset it, turn the instrument off, remove
the batteryandwait for a minimumof one minute,reinsert
the battery and turn on. If the error message remains
please contact the Service Department for further
assistance.
BATTERIES
Thethermometer has two separatebatteries.The batterycloserto theside of the laser
beamoutputis for laseroperationonly.Theother batteryis designatedfor temperature
measurements. The thermometer c an still measuretemperature properly, e venwithout
thelaserbattery.
The thermometerincorporatesvisual low batteryindication(for the lower battery)as
follows:

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the'LowBattery' i conindicates t hebattery is low,thebattery should bereplaced
immediatel

witha CR2032 lithium cell.Thebattery is located underthetwistcoverat
the rear of the thermometer.Please note: It is importantto turn the instrumentoff
beforereplacingthe batteryotherwise the thermometer maymalfunction.
Dispose of usedbatteryproperly andkeepawayfromchildren.

STORAGE
& CLEANING
The sensorlens is the most delicatepart of the thermometer.The lens should
be keptcleanat all times,careshouldbetakenwhencleaning the lensusing
only a soft clothor cottonswabwith wateror medicalalcohol,allowingthe
lens to fully dry before usingit, do not submergeany part of the thermometer.
The thermometer should be stored at room temperature between -20 to
+650C(-4 to +1490F).
