INSTALL LAMP ASSEMBLY (Fig. 1)
1. Make sure engine is stopped and key is removed
from ignition switch.
2. Remove lower capscrew,
securing control panel to right handle.
3. Determinecorrect set of mounting holes in lamp
mount and loosely secure lamp mount to control
panel and handle, using lower mounting holes and
fasteners previously removed.
4. Remove upper fasteners securing control panel
to right handle and secure lamp mount to panel and
handle. Tighten all fasteners.
5. Mount U-bracket to lamp mount with a carriage
bolt, lockwasher, and nut. Do not over tighten nut or
light adjustment will be impaired.
6. Mount lamp assembly bracket to U-bracket with
flange head screw, (2) lockwashers, and a flange
locknut. Position a washer
and lamp bracket on each side. Do not over tighten.

HEADLIGHT KIT
INSTALL ALTERNATOR (Figs. 2-4)
1. Remove(4)screws or nuts, dependingon model
of snowthrower, securing recoil starter assemblyto
blower housing. Rememberposition of starter handle
for reassembly.
2. If recoil assemblyis equippedwith a centerplug
in housing (Fig. 2), push it out from back side and
proceed to step 4, if not, refer to step 3 for further
instruction.

7. Push out center plug from this side.
3. To drill center hole in recoil housing,proceedas
follows:
a. Position recoil assembly (pulley side up) on a
flat surface suitable for drilling.
b. Using center hole in pulley assembly as a
guide (Fig. 3), drill a 1/4" dia. hole through
housing.
c. Remove all debris from drill operation.
4. Locate (3) depresseddrill starts in front side of
housing (Fig. 4).
