6.1 Changing the reproduction volume

The reproduction volume can be increased or decreased with the buttons
VOLUME + and VOLUME - (11). This volume refers to the output LINE
OUT (8) and the headphone output PHONES (9) or the built-in speaker
(28) when this speaker is switched on (
CAUTION
Never adjust a very high headphone volume. Permanent
high volumes may damage your hearing! The human ear
will get accustomed to high volumes which do not seem to
be that high any more after some time. Therefore, do not
further increase a high volume after getting used to it.

6.2 Adding the current title to the play list

As an alternative to the reproduction of a single title or all titles of a data
carrier or directory, it is possible to create an individual play list of the de-
sired titles. To add the current title to the list, press the button P.LIST (13).
To confirm, "Add file to playlist" is displayed. For reproduction of the list
chapter 7.4.1.

6.3 Repeat of a section

Within a title any section can be repeatedly replayed as a loop.
1) While replaying, press the button CUE / LOOP (14). Thus, the begin-
ning of the section is defined. The symbol
(e).
2) When reaching the end of the section, press the button CUE / LOOP
again. The display now shows
tinuously. The reproduction can be interrupted with the button
(12) and be continued again.
3) To finish the repeat of the section and to return to normal reproduction,
press the button CUE / LOOP. The symbol for the selected reproduction

7 Settings of the Unit

The settings of the unit can be made via a menu on the display (3). The
menu is called via the button MENU (17). The menu is operated via the
five buttons (15) arranged in a circle. Select a menu item or a setting op-
tion with the buttons

7.1 File administration

Via the menu item "File Manager" audio files can be selected for repro-
duction, be deleted or added to the play list.

7.1.1 Selecting an audio file for reproduction

1) Call the menu [MENU] and the menu item "File Manager" [ , ], [OK].
2) Select the memory location of the file to be replayed:
FLASH = internal Flash EEPROM memory (approx. 100 MB available)
