The wireless communication link operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band and can use either
of two protocols: Bluetooth Low Energy or a proprietary bidirectional communication
protocol. Both protocols use GFSK (Gaussian frequency-shift keying) modulation, and
frequency hopping or switching between channels to reduce interference.
