INSTALLING THE MUG PRESS
The following items are required to use the Mug Press function:
- 5 in 1 main stand with control unit, adjustable arm and handle
- Mug press stand
- Mug press element cable
- Mug press grounding wire
1) The mug press stand is separate from the main 5 in 1 pressing unit so there is no need to install it onto the
main stand. To install the mug press simply attach the element cable to the control unit, make sure the metal
cap on the end of the cable is screwed into place to secure the connection. Clip the red grounding cable to
any conductive part of the mug attachment and main stand frame.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
The mug press comes with an 11oz press pad as standard, this can be used for sublimating onto 11oz mugs.
Other sized attachments are available to purchase via our Sales team using the details on the Contact page,
such as 5oz, 7oz, 12oz and 17oz.
1) Prepare the mug you wish to press - see "Printing & Design Instructions" page - and attach the mug press
stand referring to the "Installing the Mug Press" section.
2) Set your idle temperature, target temperature and time settings on the control panel - see "Set-Up
Instructions".
3) When the press reaches the idle temperature an alarm will sound to notify you.
Note: On first use the element will take a while to heat up and may produce some smoke.
4) Insert the prepared mug into the press and close the press handle so there is a firm pressure around the
mug. Do not exert excessive pressure on the machine as it will cause damage to the machine.
Adjust the pressure bolt which sits at the bottom of the pressing handle if the pressure is too tight or too
loose.
5) Press the SET (square) key to allow the temperature to rise from the idle temperature to the target
temperature. The temperature may drop to begin with due to contact with the cold mug.
6) When the press reaches the target temperature an alarm will sound to notify you, then the timer will
automatically start and again sound an alarm when finished.
7) Release the lever and remove the mug from the press using heat proof gloves.
Press the SET (square) button and the element will drop back down to the idle temperature, ready to press
another mug. If you do not intend to press another item turn off the machine.
Allow time to cool before removing the design.
