CHECKING THE HORIZONTAL LINE
We recommend regularly checking the horizontal
alignment of the laser. To do so, follow the following
steps:
Set up the unit between two walls with a dis-
tance of approx. 5 m. The distance from the wall
is approximately 15cm. Unlock the device.
Switch the instrument on by pressing the ON/
OFF button once (level function).
Aim the laser beam at the wall and mark a point
A in the centre of the projected line.
Rotate the instrument 180° without changing
its height.
Mark a point B in the centre of the projected line
on other wall.
Then position the laser about 15 cm from point
B and so that the centre of the line crosses point
B.
Rotate the instrument 180° towards wall A with-
out changing its height.
Mark a point C at the centre of the projected line
near point A.
Now measure the distance between the marked points
A and C. The diff erence between A and C is the accura-
cy of 2X the distance between the walls. If the distance
between the walls is 5 m. and the distance between
A and C is 3 mm, the accuracy is 3 mm at 10m.If both
measured distances are equal, then the laser is cali-
brated. If you fi nd a deviation of more than 3 mm, the
laser should be calibrated.

CHECKING THE VERTICAL LINES
To check the plumb of the instrument follow these
steps:
Choose a doorway with a clearance of approx. 2
m on both sides of the door.
Unlock the device. Switch on the laser by press-
ing the ON/OFF button twice.
Position the laser 2.45 m away from the door
opening (point A) and then mark two points on
the fl oor:
the fi rst point at the threshold of the
doorway (point B).
the second point 2.45 m away , i.e. at 4.9
m from point A (point D).
Also mark a third point on the door frame
above the threshold (point C).
Now position the laser at point D and aim the
laser beam exactly at points B and A.
Check that the plumb line coincides exactly with
point D. If the deviation is more than 1.2 mm,
the laser must be calibrated.
If you fi nd that the laser is out of
alignment, return it to your retailer
to be recalibrated at an authorised
service centre.
