This product does not have any lateral stabilising mechanisms.
If the product is tilted far enough that the wheel loses traction, it can no
longer centre itself beneath you and you may tip over.
You have to keep balance laterally by yourself, as well. Therefore, always
make sure that your body is aligned with the centreline of the product.
Do not lean into turns or into slopes if you are driving across the slope.
Note
• Do not overestimate yourself. Accelerate slowly to develop full
control over the product. We also recommend that only experienced
drivers drive across the slope.
• If this is your first time using this kind of product, we recommend
receiving help from a second person. This person should hold
your hands to keep you stable. Try to keep yourself steady to start
with and try not to make any hectic movements. The device will
support your balance, so try not to work against the compensating
movements. Instead, concentrate on your own balance.

7.2.1.1 Energy recovery (recuperation)

• All of the Cruisers are equipped with a feature for recovering
(recuperating) energy while braking or driving downhill.
• Under ideal conditions, energy recovery can boost the Cruiser's
range by five to ten percent. However, this depends on many factors,
including the terrain profile as well as the frequency of braking
manoeuvres, and therefore cannot be predicted for every case.
Caution with fully charged battery
• Avoid extended braking or downhill stretches with the battery fully
charged, as under these conditions the battery may not be able to
hold the recovered energy.
• First drive for one or two minutes on level terrain in order to deplete
the battery a bit.
• Otherwise you may damage the battery.

7.2.1.2 Lighting systems (F Cruiser)

Note – Front and rear lights/Adjusting to the driving
direction
• The Freestyle Cruiser is equipped with separate, high-visibility lights
in the front and rear.
• The Freestyle Cruiser automatically recognizes the direction of travel
and adjusts the lights accordingly (front light coloured white, rear
light coloured red).
• Recognition of the direction of travel and the adjustment of the
lights occurs after five wheel revolutions.

7.2.1.3 USB charging socket (F Cruiser)

The Freestyle Cruiser is equipped with an USB type A charging socket
with which devices can be charged with a current of up to 2.0 A.
Note – USB charging socket
• Extended charging of one device, or charging multiple devices one
after the other, may reduce the Cruiser's range.
Caution - Risk of falling
• Use the USB charging socket only when the Cruiser is parked, not
while driving.
• Otherwise you may be at risk of falling and injuring yourself due to
being distracted, losing your balance, or the charging cable.

7.2.2 U-Scooter

Note
When switching on, make sure that the product is on a flat, even
surface.
Caution
• Always use appropriate lifting and charging technology.
• Choose sturdy, stationary lifting points, for example, in the middle of
the lower section.
• Always lift from a squatting position and not from the back.
Warning
• Pay attention to your fingers. Do not lift the product onto tyres,
protective plates or wheels.
• You could catch your hands or fingers between the tyres and the
protective plate, resulting in injury.
