The position of the jumper JP1-5 determines the status of the contact of each relay and conse-
quently of each function.
If the pins 1-2 are short-circuited , the dry contacts are normally closed. If the pins 2-3 are short-
circuited, the dry contacts are normally open.

The position of the jumpers CN1 and CN6 determines the mode of the UPS shutdown.
There are two possible UPS shutdown modes:
- automatic, after 40 seconds in stored energy mode (with the mains absent). It is sufficient
to short-circuit with the jumpers the pins 1-2 of both CN1 and CN6
- manual remote. After having short-circuited with the jumpers the pins 2-3 of both CN1 and
CN6, it is necessary to give a signal between 8Vdc and 25Vdc for 5 seconds on the pins 9
and 10 of the 10-pin terminal.
Once the dry contact card is configured, it is possible to proceed with the installation after having
read and understood the whole manual, especially the safety provisions listed in chapter 2.
Follow these steps to install the dry contact card:
1. Make sure the UPS Daker DK or Daker DK+ is off and unplugged from the mains.
2. Set the jumpers of the dry contact card according to the selected mode.
3. Make all the necessary connections on the 10-pin terminal of the card.
4. Unscrew and save the two screws of the expansion slot INTERFACE located on the back of the UPS.
5. Remove the plastic cover of the expansion slot.
6. Insert on the correct side the dry contact card in the expansion slot.
7. Fix the dry contact card to the UPS by screwing the two saved screws.
