• H for setting the high motor speed.
Use the screws L and H to adjust the quantity of fuel in relation to the air stream. Turning the
screw clockwise produces a leaner fuel-air mixture (less fuel); turning the screw anti-clockwise
produces a rich mixture (more fuel).

Make sure that unauthorized persons do not have access to the device!
– Let the device cool down before you store it.
– Store the device as horizontally as possible. Make sure that no fuel-oil mixture can run out
of the carburetor.
Longer downtimes

Device damage!
If you are not going to be using the device for a while, remove the fuel and chain oil
from the device. This way, you will prevent a gumming-up of the motor and of the
grease pump.
Store the device in a dry place and far away from possible sources of ignition such as
ovens, gas thermostats, etc.
– Empty the tanks for the fuel-oil mixture and saw chain oil.
– Start the motor and let it run until the motor switches off by itself (► Starting the motor –
p. 109).
– Let the motor cool down (approx. 5 min).
– Remove the spark plug (► Cleaning/replacing the spark plug – p. 122).
– Let a teaspoon of clean two-stroke motor oil run into the combustion chamber.
– Pull the pull-starter slowly several times in order to coat the internal components with the
oil.
– Replace the spark plug (► Cleaning/replacing the spark plug – p. 122).
Transport in a vehicle
If you are transporting the device in a vehicle:
– Let the device cool down.
– Empty the tanks for the fuel-oil mixture and saw chain oil.
– Secure the device against slipping.
