TROUBLESHOOTING
Visit a Princess Auto Ltd. location for a solution if the tool does not
function properly or parts are missing. If unable to do so, have a
qualified technician service the tool.
PROBLEM(S)
Gun pumps little or
no grease.
Excessive grease
leaking from the back
of the gun around the
plunger rod.
Grease leaks from the
connection between
the Grease Gun Head
and the Extension /
Extension and
Coupler.
Grease leaks from the
coupler body joint or
from in-between the
coupler jaws and
grease nipple.

POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)
1. Trapped air
pockets in grease.
2. Thick or frozen
grease.
3. Blocked grease
gun extension.
4. Blocked grease
gun head.
Damaged grease gun
rubber follower.
Loose connection.
Damaged grease
coupler.
SUGGESTED SOLUTION(S)
1. Prime grease gun.
2. Use a lower viscosity grease
or add some oil to grease to
make it more viscous or heat
the gun barrel to unfreeze
the grease.
3. Remove the extension and
operate the grease gun. If
the gun dispenses grease
then the gun is fine and you
need to either clean the
extension or replace it.
4. Disassemble the grease gun
head to check for any
contaminants or blockages.
Clean and reassemble the
grease gun head.
Replace the follower.
Tighten the connection using a
thread sealant.
Change coupler.
