1. How to use these instructions

The installation instructions contained in this document provide the information necessary
to install this product. This information is just a part of the information available in the
ND 780 Operating Instructions, 532852-xx. The Operating Instructions can be downloaded
from www.heidenhain.de.
These instructions are intended for use by personnel qualifi ed to install, operate and
maintain the HEIDENHAIN ND 780.
A qualifi ed person is someone who's technical education, knowledge and experience,
as well as knowledge of the relevant system of rules qualifi es the person to evaluate the
delegated task and recognize possible hazards.
