General Settings

Decimal point (Series SMS-300 and SMS-310 / DT-3xxN and DT-3xx only)
The display is factory set with floating decimal point (autorange). For the elimination of the decimal point please
follow the directions:
•
Turn the power on and select the signal mode „external" and the mode „rpm".
• Press the ÷2 key and the - key at the same time and keep them pressed for approx. 3 seconds.
•
The display should now show „—1—„ and „0.0" (alternating).
•
Select between the floating decimal point mode (0.0) or the standard mode (0) with the + key.
•
Press the SIG key to store your settings.
Auto Off (Series SMS-300 / DT-3xxN only)
The instrument can be switched off automatically using the internal timer. To adjust the timer and to activate its
funtion please proceed as follows:
•
Turn the power on and select the signal mode „external" and the mode „rpm".
• Press the ÷2 key and the - key at the same time and keep them pressed for approx. 3 seconds.
•
The display should now show „—1—„ and „0.0" (alternating).
•
Press the MODE key, the display changes now between „—2—„ and „0".
•
Press the + key and adjust the desired switch-off time between 1 and 120 minutes with the turning knob.
•
Press the SIG key to save your settings.
•
Maximum flash frequency (Series SMS-310 / DT-3xx only)
To limit the maximum flash frequency please proceed as follows:
•
Turn the power on and select the signal mode „external" and the mode „rpm".
• Press the ÷2 key and the - key at the same time and keep them pressed for approx. 3 seconds.
•
The display should now show „—1—„ and „0.0" (alternating).
•
Press the MODE key, the display changes now between „—2—„ und „33000".
•
Adjust the desired maximum flashing range with the turning knob.
•
Press the SIG key to save your settings.
Auto Off (only for SMS-310 / DT-3xx Series)
The instrument can be switched off automatically using the internal timer. To adjust the timer and to activate its
funtion please proceed as follows:
•
Turn the power on and select the signal mode „external" and the mode „rpm".
• Press the ÷2 key and the - key at the same time and keep them pressed for approx. 3 seconds.
•
The display should now show „—1—„ and „0.0" (alternating).
•
Press the MODE key twice, the display changes now between „—3—„ und „0".
•
Press the + key and adjust the desired switch-off time between 1 and 99 minutes with the turning knob.
•
Press the SIG key to save your settings.
Trigger edge of the external signal (Series SMS-300 / DT-3xxN only)
The external signal trigger edge is factory set to occur during the positive transition of the incoming pulse (Low to
High). This is changeable by setting the trigger edge to the negative transition (High to Low) as follows.
•
Turn the power on and select the signal mode „external" and the mode „rpm".
•
Press the ÷2 key and the - key at the same time and keep them pressed for approx. 3 seconds.
•
The display should now show „—1—„ and „0.0" (alternating).
•
Press the MODE key twice, the display changes now between „—3—„ und „L-H".
•
Press the + key and select between the trigger edges „H-L" und „L-H".
•
Press the SIG key to save your settings.
