Measuring Voltage V
1. Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test
lead to the V jack.
2. Set the function/range selector switch to the desired posit-
ion: V for measuring DC Voltage or V~ for measuring
AC Voltage.
3. Connect test leads across the source of load under measu-
rement. Read the LCD display. For DC measurements the
polarity of the red lead connection will be indicated along
with the voltage value.
4. When only the figure "1" is displayed it indicates an over-
range situation. Select a higher range (on models 292A and
293A only).
Measuring Current A
1. Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test
lead to either the mA or A jack.
2. Set the function switch to the desired position: A
current or A ~
GDT-295A it is necessary to push the ~ /
button to select DCA or ACA measuring mode.
3. Connect test leads in series with the load in which the
current is to be measured.
4. Read LCD display. The polarity of red lead connection will be
indicated when making a DC measurement.
5. When only the figure "1" is displayed it indicates an over
range situation. Select a higher range.
