Raising the bobbin
thread
1. Lift presserfoot.
2. Hold needle thread loosely with left hand. Turn
hand wheel toward you, lowering the needle.
3. Continue to do this until needle rises above needle
plate. Gently pull the needle thread bringing up
bobbin in a loop (illustration 1).
4. Open loop with fingers to find the end of bobbin
thread.
5. Draw both threads through the opening in presser
foot (illustration 2). Pull both threads to back of
machine.
6. Finally, close the bobbin visor completely.
