MECHANICAL SAFETY LOCK
The mechanical safety lock is designed to prevent the patient can liberate himself, but can be opened simply by the medical personnel with a
pen with a conical tip similar to the supplied with the closure.
The difference in diameters and shape of the holes of the disc prevents the pivot can be placed in the wrong hole.
CLOSE THE LOCK
1. Taking the closing disc in the hand, insert the center hole in the pivot, keeping the marked side at the top.
2. Press down until you hear "click" it indicates that the spring has been housed in the pivot slot.
3. Check, stretching upwards, that the disc has been properly secured.
OPEN THE LOCK
4. Insert the tip of the pen into the hole pointed by the arrow on one side of the disc.
5. Press against the resistance of the internal spring and pull the disc out.
IMPORTANT:
Always use a pencil similar to the pen supplied with the locks.
MAGNETIC SAFETY LOCK
The magnetic safety lock is designed to prevent the patient can free himself, but lets be opened simply by the medical personnel with the
magnetic key supplied.
CLOSE THE LOCK
1. Taking the closing button in the hand, insert the center hole in the pivot.
2. Check, stretching upwards, that the button has been properly secured.
OPEN THE LOCK
3. Place the key provided on the top of the button.
4. Slide up proving that the magnet has liberated the button.
IMPORTANT: In patients with pacemakers should consider instructions' pacemaker manufacturer, regarding to possible
damage because of strong magnets.
EMERGENCY OPENING: The button has two holes on the top. It allows an emergency opening by introducing, at the same time, a sharp
object of appropriate diameter. (For example: a paperclip)

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES:

In case of blocking, cut the textile part of the restraining device, never cut the lock.
Warning: if locks are inmersed in liquid, the proper functioning could be affected.
If incontinence, locks must be cleaned and disinfected inmediately.
When washing, the anti-corrosive treatment of the locks can be seriously damaged. Therefore it is not recommended to wash the locks
in a washing machine and certainly not at a temperature above 80 ºC
We recommend cleaning the locks with any non-corrosive disinfectant product, like for example: a surface disinfectant with alcohol base
<30%. Some trademarks are WS Anioxy-spray or Bacterisan B1.
Closures must be removed before washing the restraint.
Never use the safety locks until you have read and understood this instructions.
The improper use of restraining devices could increase the risk of serious injury.
The restraining devices must be used ALWAYS under medical prescription.
ALL THE CLOSURES MUST BE REPLACED AFTER 3 YEARS (manufacturing date is printed in the lock)
