Sollen beide Kanäle gleichzeitig auf die Aus-
gänge gegeben werden, den Crossfader in die
Mittelposition stellen.
4) Mit den Masterfadern A (6) und B (9) für die Mas-
terkanäle A und B den gewünschten Gesamt-
pegel einstellen. Jeden Masterkanal anhand des
VU-Meters (22) separat ausregeln. Dazu das
VU-Meter auf Anzeige des jeweiligen Masterka-
nals umschalten [siehe dazu Kap. 5.1, Punkt 4)].
Bei Übersteuerungen (rote LEDs des VU-Meters
leuchten auf) den jeweiligen Masterfader ent-
sprechend herunterregeln.
5.3 Mischen der Tonquellen
1) Zum Mischen der angeschlossenen Tonquellen die
Überblendfunktion ausschalten. Dazu die beiden
C. F. ASSIGN-Schalter (18 und 23) auf „X" stellen.
2) Den Masterfader A (6) oder B (9) so weit aufzie-
hen, dass das Mischungsverhältnis der Tonquel-
len optimal eingestellt werden kann.
3) Mit den Kanalfadern (16) das gewünschte Laut-
stärkeverhältnis der Tonquellen zueinander ein-
stellen. Wird ein Kanal nicht benutzt, sollte sein
Fader auf Minimum gestellt werden.
4) Mit den Masterfadern jeden Masterkanal anhand
des VU-Meters (22) separat ausregeln. Dazu das
VU-Meter auf Anzeige des jeweiligen Masterka-
nals umschalten [siehe dazu Kap. 5.1, Punkt 4)].
Die Masterkanäle sind optimal ausgesteuert,
wenn bei den lautesten Passagen der 0-dB-Be-
reich des VU-Meters aufleuchtet. Bei Übersteue-
rungen (rote LEDs leuchten) den jeweiligen
Masterfader und/oder die Pegelregler der Ein-
gangskanäle entsprechend herunterregeln.
5.4 Send- und Return-Wege
Um einen Kanal bzw. mehrere Kanäle auf den Aus-
spielweg zu schalten, dieTaste SEND (5) des jeweili-
gen Kanals drücken (LED über der Taste leuchtet).

the same time, set the crossfader to mid-position.
4) Adjust the desired overall level with the master
faders A (6) and B (9) for the master channels A
and B. Control each master channel separately
by means of the VU meter (22). Switch the VU
meter to display the respective master channel
[see chapter 5.1, item 4)].
In case of overload (red LEDs of the VU meter
light up) adjust the respective master control to a
correspondingly lower value.
5.3 Mixing of the audio sources
1) For mixing the connected audio sources, switch
off the crossfading function: set both C. F.
ASSIGN switches (18 and 23) to "x".
2) Move the master fader A (6) or B (9) so much
upwards that the mixing relation of the audio
sources can be adjusted in an optimum way.
3) With the channel faders (16) adjust the desired
volume relation of the audio sources with each
other. If a channel is not used, its fader should be
set to minimum.
4) Control each master channel separately with the
master faders by means of the VU meter (22).
Switch the VU meter to display the respective
master channel [see chapter 5.1, item 4)].
The master channels are adjusted in an opti-
mum way if the 0 dB range of the VU meter lights
up with music peaks. In case of overload (red
LEDs light) adjust the respective master control
and/or the level controls of the input channels to a
correspondingly lower value.
5.4 Send and return ways
To switch one channel or several channels to the
send way, press the button SEND (5) of the respec-
tive channel (LED above the button lights up). The
send way is designed "pre-fader", i. e. the channel

Kanalsignale werden vor dem Kanalfader auf den
Ausgang SEND (34) gegeben.
Werden die ausgekoppelten Signale durch ein
Effektgerät geschleift, können sie über den Eingang
RETURN (33) wieder in das Mischpult zurückge-
führt werden. Mit dem Regler LEVEL (19) die vom
Effektgerät kommenden Signale auf die Signal-
summe mischen.
5.5 Vorhören der Kanäle über einen Kopfhörer
Über die Vorhörfunktion (PFL = Pre Fader Listening)
ist es möglich, jeden der Eingangskanäle 1 – 4 über
einen an der Buchse (11) angeschlossenen Kopfhö-
rer abzuhören, auch wenn der dazugehörige Kanal-
fader (16) auf Minimum steht. Dadurch kann z. B.
auf einer CD der gewünschte Titel ausgewählt oder
der richtige Zeitpunkt zum Einblenden einer Ton-
quelle abgepaßt werden.
Wahlweise ist es auch möglich, das laufende
Musikprogramm vor den Masterfadern (6 und 9) ab-
zuhören.
1) Zum Abhören eines Eingangskanals vor dem Ka-
nalfader die entsprechende Taste PFL (17) drü-
cken (LED über der Taste leuchtet) und den Regler
MIX (24) ganz nach links drehen (Position PFL).
Zum Abhören des laufenden Musikprogramms
vor den Masterfadern den Regler MIX ganz nach
rechts drehen (Position PROG.).
2) Mit dem Pegelregler LEVEL (12) die gewünschte
Kopfhörerlautstärke einstellen.
5.6 Talkover-Funktion für das DJ-Mikrofon
Zur besseren Verständlichkeit einer Mikrofondurch-
sage bei laufendem Musikprogramm die Taste AUTO-
TALK (14) drücken: Ist die Taste gedrückt (LED über
der Taste leuchtet), werden bei Mikrofondurchsagen
die Pegel der Kanäle 1 – 4 automatisch um 12 dB ab-
gesenkt.

unit, they can be fed back again into the mixer via
the input RETURN (33). Mix the signals coming from
the effect unit with the control LEVEL (19) to the
master signal.
5.5 Pre-fader listening of the channels via
headphones
Via the pre-fader listening facility (PFL) it is possible
to monitor each of the input channels 1 to 4 via
headphones connected to the jack (11), even if the
corresponding channel fader (16) is in minimum
position. Thus, e. g. the desired title on a CD or the
exact point of time for fading in an audio source can
be selected.
Alternatively it is also possible to monitor the cur-
rent music programme ahead of the master faders
(6 and 9).
1) For monitoring an input channel ahead of the
channel fader press the corresponding button
PFL (17) (LED above the button lights up) and
turn the control MIX (24) fully counter-clockwise
(position PFL).
For monitoring the current music programme
ahead of the master faders, turn the control MIX
fully clockwise (position PROG.).
2) Adjust the desired headphone volume with the
control LEVEL (12).
5.6 Talkover facility for the DJ microphone
For a better audibility of a microphone announce-
ment during a current music programme, press the
button AUTOTALK (14): If the button is pressed
(LED above the button lights up), the levels of chan-
nels 1 to 4 are automatically attenuated by 12 dB in
case of microphone announcements.
If the button is not pressed, the talkover facility is
switched off.
