CHECKING THE MOTOR
1. Check:
• Commutator
Dirt → Clean with 600 grit sandpa-
per.
2. Check:
• Segment undercut
Obstruction → Clean.
NOTE:
Remove all metal particles with compre-
ssed air.
3. Measure:
• Commutator diameter
Out of specification → Replace.
Commutator diameter limit
15.5 mm (0.61 in)
4. Measure:
• Armature coil continuity
Out of specification → Replace.
