The thread of the gripper piece (1) must match the vehicle's filler pipe. If this is

5.2.2 Fuel Removal Procedure

Bring the TankQuick to the vehicle that is to be emptied, and lock the wheels

Attach the fastening clip of the potential equalisation cable to the vehicle that is

to be emptied.
Insert the fuel removal/return hose into the vehicle's tank, and latch the gripper
•
piece by turning it clockwise in the filler pipe, or insert the adapter
Secure the gripper piece in the filler pipe during operation by hand!
The gas displacement hose must reach into the filler pipe!

Set the right switch lever to " I "; the pump will begin to convey liquid.

Press the lever (see illustration 3) on the container's shut-off valve - the con-
•
tents of the tank will be removed. The progress of the fuel removal can be ob-
served through the shut-off valve's inspection glass. It may be the case that the
flow of medium is no longer visible in the inspection glass, although the vehicle
tank is not yet completely empty. In this case, the suction hose must either be
pushed further into the tank or pulled further out of the tank through the grip-
per piece in the filler pipe. This should be done slowly and in short steps, since
the suction hose must first be refilled with liquid. Only then is it possible to
check again on the inspection glass.
Check the level to which the container is filled as the emptying proceeds, in order to
avoid over-filling
After the suction procedure is finished, allow the pump to run on for a short

while in order to empty the hoses. Then switch off the device with the control
lever (switch setting " 0 ") and disconnect the compressed air supply.
