Before Initial Use

1. Unpack the device and check the items supplied for completeness (see "Items
Supplied") and possible transport damage. If you should fi nd any transport damage,
do not (!) use the device, but contact the customer service department immediately.
2. Remove any stickers and fi lms from the device.
3. Mount the lid handle on the glass lid:

4. The device may contain production residues. To avoid harmful effects to your health,
clean the device and all accessories thoroughly before using them for the fi rst time
(see "Cleaning and Storage").
5. The initial start-up should be performed without any food since a slight odour or smoke
may develop due to coating residues that may still be present. Allow the device to
heat up on the highest temperature setting for approx. 15 minutes without any food in
it (see "Operation"). Make sure that the room is well ventilated as you do this!

Operation

CAUTION!
■ Do not place food that is still packed in plastic wrap or plastic bags in the device.
■ Never spray cold water onto the glass lid during or immediately after use. The glass
might shatter.

– Place the lid handle (a) and the cover plate (b) on the glass lid.
– Secure them both from the underside of the glass lid with the
washer and the screw.
