LOW POWER
PROBLEM
Does the engine
overheat?
The engine knocks
or makes noises
The engine does not
run normally at all
speeds.
Black smoke or
uncarbonated fuel
escapes from the
exhaust pipe.
NOTE: If the engine still does not run, take the machine to an Official Service Facility.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
TRANSPORT
Never transport the machine while the engine is running.
Wait 5 minutes after turning off the engine before transporting the machine.
If you are transporting the machine in a vehicle, secure it securely to prevent it from slipping or tipping over and
with the guard on the cutting elements.
CAUSE
The operator is overoperating with the
machine.
The carburetor mixture is too lean.
The fan, fan cover, or cylinder is dirty or
damaged.
He's overheated.
Incorrect fuel.
Carbon deposits in the combustion
chamber.
There are carbon deposits on the piston
or muffler.
The air filter element is clogged.
Spark plug is loose or damaged.
Air escapes or the fuel line is stuck.
There's water in the fuel.
The piston is sticking.
Defective carburetor and/or diaphragm.
The fuel mixture for a two-stroke engine
is incorrect.
SOLUTION
Cut at a slower speed.
Take the machine to an Official Technical
Service.
Clean or replace as necessary.
Check that the fuel is the correct octane
rating, check that there is no alcohol in
the fuel.
Fill the machine with the correct fuel.
Take the machine to an Official Technical
Service.
Clean or replace the air filter.
Tighten or replace the spark plug and
restart the machine.
Repair or replace the fuel filter and/or
fuel line.
Fill the tank with the correct fuel/oil
mixture.
Take the machine to an authorized
Service Facility.
