Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check fi rst of all whether you are able to rectify
a problem yourself. Otherwise you should contact the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem
Possible cause / solution
The device does
not work.
No paint emerges
from
the
spray
nozzle.
The
coating
material is dripping
out of the spray
nozzle.
Too much of the
coating material is
being applied.
Paint tears (noses)
are forming on the
object which you
want to coat with
paint.
The paint jet is
emerging
"in
pulses".

Is the mains plug correctly inserted in the plug socket?
Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
Check the fuse of your mains connection.
Is the cable or the plug defective?
The spray nozzle (8) or the air cap (9) is clogged. Clean it
(see the "Cleaning and Maintenance" chapter).
The amount of paint is not set correctly. Turn the adjusting
screw (3) to regulate the amount of paint released.
The paint intake pipe is blocked. Check it and clean it if
necessary in the manner described in the "Cleaning and
Maintenance" chapter.
The paint container is not correctly screwed onto the spray gun.
The paint intake pipe is not correctly aligned. (See the
"Putting into Operation" chapter).
The locking screw (10) is tightened too fi rmly. Correct the fi t.
The coating material is too thick. Check the viscosity (see the
"Preparing Coating Materials" chapter).
The locking screw (10) is not tightened fi rmly enough.
Correct the fi t.
Paint is building up behind the spray nozzle (8) / air cap (9).
Clean the spray nozzle (8) / air cap (9) and try again (see the
"Cleaning and Maintenance" chapter).
The coating material is too runny. Check the viscosity (see
the "Preparing Coating Materials" chapter).
The amount of paint is not set correctly. Turn the adjusting
screw (3) to regulate the amount of paint released.
