3. Continuous Drain - Heat Mode
During heat mode, you may wish to set up the continuous drain option so that the air conditioner will
automatically drain collected water.
Ensure that the air conditioner is turned off and unplugged before setting up the drain hose.
Remove the center drain plug and attach the drain hose that was provided with the air conditioner. Ensure
that there are no kinks or bends in the drain hose as this can stop water from draining.
Place the open end of the drain hose over the receptacle that it will drain into; this could be a basement
fl oor drain, a sink or similar.
The drain pump used during heat mode means that the drain hose can be directed upward to a drain if
necessary. Ensure that the hose does not angle upward for more than 1.8 meters (6 feet).
