RECHARGING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
Do not recharge the watch under lights which have a high heat emission.
This may damage the watch.
-
If the charge level of the rechargeable battery is very low, a fl ashing symbol of
the blank battery is indicated on the LCD screen and the seconds hand moves in
multiples of two every 2 seconds.
-
If the battery is not recharged immediately, stop the hand at 12 o'clock to save
the battery charge.
-
You must now charge the rechargeable battery of the watch / clock immediately
under direct sunlight or artifi cial light.
-
To recharge the watch with sunlight, place the watch on a window sill with the
clock-face pointing upwards or at another place with solar radiation.
-
To recharge the watch with artifi cial light put the watch under a fl uorescent lamp
with the clock-face pointing upwards, since such lamps are most similar to natu-
ral sunlight. Due to the low heat emission of fl uorescent lamps the watch will not
be damaged, provided that you keep a minimum safety distance of approx. 5 cm.
Keep a minimum distance of 20 cm if you use other lamps with a higher heat
emission.
-
We recommend recharging the battery on a weekly basis. In ideal cases, the bat-
tery must be recharged every fi ve months.
If the charge level of the rechargeable battery was very low (fl ashing symbol
of a blank battery on the LCD screen), it can take a few days for the rechar-
geable battery to be completely charged again.
-
As soon as the battery is charged suffi ciently, the time will be set automatically.
-
The watch is operated via a rechargeable battery of type ML 2016. The service
life of the battery is limited. Therefore, the battery must be replaced after a few
years. In order to avoid damages we recommend you let a watchmaker or jeweller
carry out the replacement of the battery.
-
After a battery replacement it takes approx. 10 minutes until the watch displays
the correct time again.
SHORTENING THE METAL WRISTSTRAP
The metal wrist strap can be adjusted to the size of your wrist. This however, re-
quires special tools. Therefore, we recommend you let a watchmaker or jeweller
shorten the wriststrap.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
The watch is maintenance-free. Clean the device only with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of the hous-
ing and the wriststrap may be damaged.
