Notes:
- Risk of electric shock: Do not recharge the device or connect the headphones when performing an ECG.
- Do not use the ECG function on a patient with a pacemaker or defibrillator.
- To disconnect the cable from the Visiocheck® device, pull on the plug and not the cable.
- Recording speed (default): 1 s = 25 mm (on horizontal axis).
- An ECG can be performed at the same time as a SpO
reading is taken.

5.3. USING THE PULSE OXIMETER
Precautions before use:
- Before each use, inspect the cables and replace if worn, cut or frayed.
- Do not wrap the sensor in adhesive tape or hermetically seal in any another way.
- Regularly inspect the area to which the sensor is applied. Change its position every 4 hours at a maximum.
- Do not use the sensor on the thumb, the hand, the toe or the foot of a child.
- Do not place a sensor on a limb used for an arterial catheter or intravascular infusion.
- The pulse oximeter should be positioned so that the pulse can be correctly recorded, with the main objective being to assess oxygen saturation levels (SpO
Check that nothing interferes with the results.
The following can lead to inaccurate results:
- Nail varnish (colorimetric interference) or artificial nails;
- Increased levels of dysfunctional haemoglobin (carboxyhaemoglobin or methaemoglobin);
- Intravascular dyes (indocyanine green or methylene blue);
- Bright light. If necessary, shield the area where the sensor is placed.
- Excessive movement by the user.
- Defibrillators and interferences from high-frequency electrosurgical devices.
- Venous pulsation.
- Placing the sensor on a user fitted with a tensiometer, or arterial or intravascular catheter.
- High blood pressure, severe vasoconstriction, acute anaemia or hypothermia.
- Cardiac arrest.
- Stress.
- Impaired pulse (low perfusion).
- Low haemoglobin levels.
Taking a reading:
1. Connect the extension cable to the Visiocheck® device.
2. Connect the sensor to the extension cable.
3. Insert the finger into the sensor, with the nail facing upwards.
4. Adjust the sensor if necessary.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to start the reading.
6. After taking the reading, remove the sensor.
7. Disconnect the cable from the device.

Notes:
- The Visiocheck® device will provide SpO
values between 70 and 100%. Outside of this range, the device will display OUTSIDE RANGE.
2
- The Visiocheck® device will provide a pulse rate between 25 and 250 beats per minute. Outside of this range, the device will display OUTSIDE RANGE.
- An accurate measurement of oxygen saturation, measured with pulse oximetry, largely depends on the patient's condition and the correct positioning of
the sensor.
- An ECG can be performed at the same time as a SpO
reading is taken.
2
- To disconnect the cable from the Visiocheck® device, pull on the plug and not the cable.
- If the reading appears abnormal, reposition the sensor and check the quality of the graph.
5.4. USING THE TENSIOMETER
Precautions before use:
- Visiocheck® BW-X07HD is not designed to analyse arrhythmias. This device is not a substitute for skilled care or appropriate monitoring by a healthcare
professional.
- Use the arm cuff appropriate for the patient's body shape.
- For reliable and accurate results, always take the reading on the same arm.
- The arm cuff should be positioned on the brachial artery, 1/2 cm / 0.4/0.8 in above the elbow. An arm cuff which is incorrectly fitted or positioned can lead
to inaccurate results.
- Remove anything than could interfere with the reading (tight t-shirt, bracelet, watch etc.)
- Do not place the arm cuff on top of clothing.
- Do not remove the arm cuff while taking a reading.
- Variations in pressure are physiologically normal and can be reflected in different values from one reading to another.
- The patient should not talk, move or cough during the reading.
Taking a reading:
1. Slide the arm cuff onto the arm (left arm for a right-handed person and vice versa).
2. Adjust the arm cuff without overtightening.
3. Do not bend the air tube.
4. Place the forearm on the table, with the palm facing up and the elbow slightly bent, keeping the fist unclenched.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to start the reading.
6. After taking the reading, remove the arm cuff.
7. Disconnect the cable from the device.
