Fault finding - practical tips
If, when an alarm has been triggered or during testing, a FlammEx radio
smoke detector fails to communicate with other FlammEx radio smoke
detectors, check the following points:
• Check the correct setting of the Coding switch
in the Radio Transmit and Receive Modules in the
other smoke detectors in the system - the codes
must be identical.
• Check that the signal cable (7) is properly connected
between the smoke detector and the Radio Transmit
and Receive Module.
• Check the battery, exchange if necessary.
• Consider the notes under Point 2 of the assembly
instructions section regarding the nature of the sur
rounding buildings etc.
• Reduce the distance between the radio smoke
detectors so that each radio smoke detector in the
same group can exchange radio signals with the
other radio smoke detectors.
• Check the radio connection using another Radio
Transmit and Receive Module and smoke detector.
