6 – Fasten the Hub or Closing Cap to the Box
Attach the hub with the four screws supplied with the kit. No
gasket is required. If a hub is not used, attach the supplied
closing cap with the four screws in the kit.
7 – Mount the Box
Screw or nail through the rear mounting holes.
8 – Remove the Knockouts for All Main and Branch
Circuits
First drive the center knockout inward. The outer rings should
then be alternately pried up or driven in one at a time.
9 – Pull Incoming Service and Branch Circuit Wiring
into the Box
Good practice includes forming drip loops where applicable.
10 – Replace the Interior
Driv ein the mounting screws loosened in step 4.
11 – Wire Main, Neutral, and Equipment Ground
Refer to the rating label inside the equipment for the proper
tightening torques. Wire the neutral and equipment grounds
only in the directions indicated by the arrows in the figure. For
service entrance only, the bond screw is provided.

12 – Optional Wiring of Neutral and Ground
For panelboards rated at 150 A or less, the neutral crossbar
may be removed to provide optional neutral and ground
wiring as follows:
Left side – Insulated neutral or ground without bonding strap.
Uninsulated neutral or ground with bonding strap
provided.
Right side – Insulated neutral or ground only. No bonding
provision provided.
NOTE: If the load center is main breaker type and is not
intended for service entrance use, remove the bonding
strap.
13 – Reinstall the Service Entrance Barrier
If necessary, reinstall the service entrance barrier removed in
step 3. Secure the barrier with the two mounting screws.
14 – Wire Branch Circuits
Individually wire each branch circuit into a circuit breaker,
then plug the breaker into the interior. Refer to the label on
the breaker for the proper tightening torque. Use GE circuit
breakers only.
15 – Remove Shield Knockouts
Place a screwdriver as shown and tap with a hammer.
