DISMANTLING
When changing the DIP-switch settings, it is necessary to demount the printed
circuit board. The front cover is removed by inserting a small screwdriver in the
upper front hole and tipping the cover carefully off. The circuit board incl. con-
nectors can be pulled out of the enclosure by detaching the lock - the upper DIN
rail fastener - and carefully pulling out the circuit board.
CABLE COMPENSATION 2-WIRE RTD INPUT
When "external calibration" is enabled from PReset, it is possible to compensate
for cable resistance in 2-wire RTD input in the following way:
1. Short-circuit RTD.
2. Demount the front cover and activate sw. 1.
3. Remove short circuit on RTD.
PRetrans 5111 compensates for the actual cable resistance. The function may
be disabled from PReset.
PROCESS CALIBRATION 0% AND 100% OR ONLY 0%
(not for RTD and TC input).
When option "Front programming" is actively configured in PReset it is possible
to make the following process calibrations according to the actual selection in
PReset.
Please note: Input 0% and 100% should be chosen higher than the process-
calibrated span.
0% AND 100% PROCESS CALIBRATION:
1. Apply the actual 0% value.
2. Demount the front cover and activate sw. 1 and wait
until the LED turns off.
3. Apply the actual 100% value.
4. Activate sw. 1. The LED will flash on and off again.
PRetrans 5111's input is now scaled according to the actual process values.
0% PROCESS CALIBRATION:
1. Apply the actual 0% value.
2. Demount the front cover and activate sw. 1 twice
within 5 s. LED will flash on and off again.
