chEcK OIL LEvEL
Frequently check the oil level (A) as stability of the level ensures proper operation of the pump and ascertain the good
condition of the diaphragms. The oil level, with the pump stopped, must reach the reference mark on the volumetric
compensator or on the oil level cap (depending on the type of pump).
The oil level is not always constant during operation of the diaphragm pump: the level when the pump is stopped and
upon start of work is subject to lowering and is then stabilised during operation.
During work pay attention to decreases in the level:
• If this happens in the first few hours of operation, this is normal and simply top up with SAE 20W/40 oil.
• I f this happens after many hours of work and continues after 1 or 2 top-ups, this is swelling of the diaphragms due to
bottlenecks in suction (dirty filter, deformed suction pipe, chemical damage to the diaphragms). In this case, check
the filter and the suction apparatus and/or contact a trained technician to check the diaphragms.
SUcTION
frequently check the efficiency of the suction apparatus, in particular:
• Inlet of air due to wear of the pipes.
• Loosening of clamps and/or fittings.
• Wear of the seals.
• The filter should be checked and cleaned frequently, especially when using powder-based products.
ATTENTION!
USE SUcTION fILTERS WITh fILTERINg cAPAcITY Of AT LEAST 2.5 TIMES ThE DELIvERY RATE Of ThE
PUMP.
PRESSURE AccUMULATOR
Check the swelling of the pressure accumulator (b) (5-7 BAR), especially if oscillations and vibrations on the delivery
pipe and/or on the gauge of the control unit are evident.
ATTENTION!
OPERATION TO bE PERfORMED ON ALL ThE PUMPS INDIcATED IN ThE MANUAL.
