• Determine the weight of the package from the transport document in order to use suitable lifting equipment.
• In the process of unpacking, check the integrity and the exact quantity of the components and if damaged or incom-
plete, contact your retailer or the manufacturer directly to agree on the procedures to be adopted.
• The packaging material must be appropriately disposed of in accordance with the laws in force.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Despite the observance of the rules of safety and of the information contained in the manual, the residual risks stated
below remain during use of the pump, .
• Thermal hazard: during operation, the pump, in relation to the temperature of the liquid being pumped, can reach
high temperatures. For this reason, the installer should take this into account and provide the appropriate protection
mechanisms and warning signs for staff.

gENERAL RULES Of SAfETY AND ENvIRONMENTAL PROTEcTION

• Minors and unauthorised persons are prohibited from using the pump.
• Upon first ignition, it is advisable to use clean water to check the effective functionality of the pump.
• The pump may not be commissioned if the machine on which it is installed does not comply with the safety provi-
sions established in the European Directives.
• Before using the pump it is essential to read carefully the instructions in the manual of the machine on which the
pump is installed. In particular, ensure there is full comprehension with regard to operation of the machine and in
relation to the operations for liquid interception.
• keep a safe distance from the moving parts of the pump, even if properly protected.
• Do not operate in the area of action of the pump without the protection of goggles and appropriate protective clothing.
• Ensure that in the delivery circuit there is a safety valve of a suitable capacity in addition to the pressure regulating valve.
• Ensure that all piping is intact and free from dents.
• Do not use the pump at pressures higher than the stated maximum.
• Do not operate at a higher rotational speed than that indicated on the label of the pump.
• Stop the pump, release the pressure from the system and clean the circuit with clean water before undertaking any
maintenance or servicing.
• Only use the pump at temperatures between 7° and 60°C (45-104°F):
• Do not remove the pressure accumulator before completely discharging the air pressure using the valve.
• Do not store the pump when it still contains hazardous liquids.
• Do not perform any maintenance on the pump when it is moving.
• It is forbidden to use the pump without the recommended safety devices: power take-off shield for shafts and uni-
versal joints and pressure relief valve of adequate capacity on the delivery circuit.
• It is forbidden to use the pump to wash or spray: persons, animals or delicate property, electrical equipment under
voltage or chemical products the characteristics of which are unknown.
• Do not change the conditions of installation of the pump in any way and in particular do not change the mounting
and the hydraulic connections.
• The pump is designed and built for the pumping of water and chemicals in aqueous solution normally used for the
protection of agricultural crops. The pumping of liquids and/or substances other than those stated may damage the
pump. In particular, do not pump:
• Aqueous solutions with density and viscosity greater than that of water.
