Caution
- If the wall socket used to power the device has poor connections, the plug of the device becomes
hot. Make sure you plug the device into a properly connected wall socket.
- Do not subject the device to heavy shocks.
- Always unplug the device after use and in case of a power failure.
- Place the device on a stable, level surface. Keep at least 35 cm of free space around the device to
prevent overheating (Fig. 5).
- Make sure the vents in the back of the device remain open during use.
- Do not cover the device with, for example, a cloth or a piece of clothing when it is switched on.
- The device is equipped with an automatic protection against overheating. If the device is
insufficiently cooled (e.g. because the cooling vents are covered), the device switches off
automatically. Remove the cause of overheating. Once the device has cooled down, it can be
switched on again by turning the timer knob.
- To avoid getting your fingers hurt when you adjust the height, hold the lamp housing by the
handgrip and height adjustment ring as long as the height adjustment rings are unlocked.
- Let the device cool down for approx. 15 minutes before you touch, clean or store it.
- If you have just been swimming or have just taken a shower, make sure you dry your skin properly
before you use this device.
- Never use the device when the glass plate (filter) is damaged, broken or missing.
