Safety Symbols Key
In this operator's manual and on the product, safety
symbols and signal words are used to communicate
important safety information. This section is provided
to improve understanding of these signal words and
symbols.
This is the safety alert symbol. It is
used to alert you to potential personal
injury hazards. Obey all safety
messages that follow this symbol to
avoid possible injury or death.
indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided,
WILL result in death or serious injury.
indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided,
COULD result in death or serious injury.
indicates hazards or unsafe practices which, if not
avoided, MAY result in injury or property damage.
This symbol means read the operator's
manual carefully before using the
equipment. The operator's manual
contains important information on
the safe and proper operation of the
equipment.
This symbol means always wear safety
glasses with side shields or goggles
when handling or using this equipment to
reduce the risk of eye injury.
This symbol indicates a risk of the
handle breaking causing the operator to
fall.

Tool Specific Safety Information
This instruction manual and any markings on the tool
provide information for avoiding hazards and unsafe
practices related to the use of this tool. Read all safety
warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications
provided with this tool. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in property damage or injury.
• Do not force the bender. Use of excessive force
can result in conduit damage and tool failure from
overload. Failure to follow this direction increases
the risk of striking and crushing injuries.
• Do not use handle extensions ("cheater bars")
or other devices with bender to bend conduit.
This tool is designed to be used by hand, handle
extensions may slip or damage the bender or
conduit and cause serious injury.
• Keep proper footing and balance at all
times. This enables better control of the tool in
unexpected situations and prevent falling injuries.
• Replace worn, damaged, or missing
components with Greenlee replacement parts.
A worn, damaged, or improperly assembled
component may fail, resulting in injury or property
damage.
• Use personal protective equipment. Protective
equipment such as safety glasses, gloves,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hats, or hearing
protection used for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
• Do not use as a hammer, lever or lifting device.
Tool can be damaged or break and cause injury.
• Do not use to bend rebar. Use this equipment
only in accordance with these instructions,
considering the working conditions and the
work to be performed. Use of this equipment
for operations different from those intended could
result in a hazardous situation.
