Adjustment of the carburetor
The carburetor has been accurately adjusted at the factory. An adjustment of the idle
speed may be necessary under the following conditions. The engine does not idle when
the hand throttle is released.

• Turn the idle speed screw clockwise to increase the engine rotation if the engine
stops or stalls.
• Turn the idle speed screw counterclockwise to decrease the engine rotation.
Troubleshooting table
Make sure the device is switched off before you wait for it!
Warning: The spark plug must be removed before maintenance work, except for
carburetor settings.
Possible causes
The unit will not start or will start but not run.

The unit starts, but the motor has a low power.
The fuel filter is clogged

Let the unit run at idle speed. Adjust the
idle speed so that the machine runs without
stopping (idle speed too low).
Corrective actions
Follow the instructions in the user manual.
Have the carburetor adjusted by an authorized
service center.
Clean the gap or replace the spark plug.
Fill the fuel tank with correctly mixed fuel.
Replace spark arrestor.
Move the lever in direction „RUN".
Replace spark arrestor.
Remove, clean and replace filter.

The engine does not start

Blocked air filter Clean or replace air filter.

Dirty air filter Clean or replace air filter.
Incorrect carburetor mixture Have the carburetor adjusted by an authorized
service center.
Incorrect fuel mixing ration Use correctly mixed fuel.
Choke lever in half position Adjust the position of the choke lever.
