  • Page 5 Do not use blocks or other extenders between the saddle and the load being lifted. • Do not modify the jack or use adapters unless approved or supplied by OTC. Do not adjust the safety valve. • Lower the jack slowly and carefully while watching the position of the jack saddle.
  • Page 6 7. Test the jack for normal operation. If the lift pad doesn’t rise to the correct height, repeat Steps 2–6, adding two more ounces of oil. If this doesn’t solve the problem, call the OTC Technical Services Dept. Preventive Maintenance IMPORTANT: The greatest single cause of failure in hydraulic units is dirt.

  • Page 13 • No use bloques ni otros extensores entre la montura y la carga que se eleva. • No modifique el gato ni use adaptadores a menos que los suministre o apruebe OTC. No ajuste la válvula de seguridad. • Baje el gato lentamente y con cuidado mientras observa la posición de la montura del gato.
  • Page 14 7. Pruebe la operación normal del gato. Si la plataforma de elevación no se eleva a la altura correcta, repita los pasos 2-6, añadiendo dos onzas más de aceite. Si no soluciona el problema, llame al departamento de Servicios Técnicos de OTC. Mantenimiento preventivo IMPORTANTE: La causa principal de fallas en las unidades hidráulicas es la mugre.
