3. SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Any damaged power cables on the electric tool
must be replaced either by the manufacturer or a
service company authorized by the manufacturer.
Check that the speed shown on the disk is the
same or higher than the rated speed for this
angle grinder.
Check that the disk is of the correct size for this
angle grinder.
Grinding disks must be handled and stored with
care in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
Examine the disk before using it. Never use disks
which have parts broken off or are cracked or in
any other way damaged.
Check that the grinding tools have been fitted in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Make sure that intermediate layers are used if
they are supplied with and required for the grin-
ding disk.
Make sure that the grinding disk is correctly fitted
and secured before you start to use the tool.
Allow the tool to run without load and in a safe
position for 30 seconds; stop the device imme-
diately if it vibrates heavily or if any other faults
become apparent. If this should be the case,
examine the machine to find the cause.
Never use separate reducer sleeves or adapters
to make grinding disks with larger holes fit the
tool.
For grinding disks with a thread insert, check that
the thread is long enough to hold the length of
the spindle.
Do not use cutting disks for roughing work.
Take precautions to ensure that flying sparks
cannot cause any danger (for example that they
do not hit anyone or cause inflammable sub-
stances to ignite).
If dust is generated during working, ensure that
the air vents are kept clear. If you should have to
remove dust, disconnect the electric tool from the
mains power supply first (use non-metallic objec-
ts only) and take care not to damage any parts
inside the tool.
The disk will continue to turn for a while after the
tool has been switched off.
Check that the mains power supply voltage is the
same as that specified on the rating plate.
