4.4 ADJUSTING COMBUSTION

4.4.1 Warning:
During operation, the air adjustment
commands can be very hot. Use the adjusting
key supplied.
4.4.2 Primary combustion
Primary combustion by placing air in the fire
box. This is regulated by the register located
on the front of the ash box door (as shown in
the figures below). If you wish to achieve more
rapid combustion, turn the knob so that the
knob is completely open; if instead you wish to
achieve slower combustion, turn the knob so
that the knob is partially open; When lighting for
the first time of the day or if the wood is damp,
it is advisable to keep the register fully open.
Once the fire is burning it is advisable to adjust
the air register depending on how much heat
is required or how long you want the load of
firewood to last.
4.4.3 Secondary combustion
keep the valve completely closed during the
switching on, and open the valve up to 50% in a
warm stove.

4.5 USE AND MAINTENANCE

Remember that YOUR STOVE is not an
incinerator.
The door must always be kept closed when the
stove is lit.
Make sure that while the stove is working, the
ash drawer sits properly into its original position and
that the door is closed correctly.
ATTENTION: if the stove is in operation and you
need to load wood in the fire box, the door must
be opened in two steps. First, open it slowly and
partially (not more than 3 cm) to aid the flue pipe to
draw smoke out of the fire box. You can then open it
completely, doing so slowly to keep hot embers from
falling out. During stove operation, the door gets very
hot. Therefore, the provided glove must always be
used.
THE ASH BOX located under the fire box must be
emptied every day when the stove is cold. This will
keep the ash box from overflowing, which would
keep air from getting to the fire box. To remove the
drawer, use the tool provided.
THE CLADDING should be cleaned with a mild
detergent and a damp cloth. Do not wet the hot
surfaces with cold water as the thermal shock may
permanently damage them.
THE FOLLOWING POINTS ARE IMPORTANT
FOR LONG LIFE OF THE STOVE:
perform overall cleaning on a regular basis;
periodically clean the smoke discharge pipes,
and eliminate any incrustation;
clean the ash box under the fire box of any
residual ash
clean the flue pipe once a year. This will prevent
the formation of incrustations which, with high
temperatures and sparks, may catch fire, with
serious consequences for both the flue pipe and
the home.
4.6 WHAT TO DO IF THE STOVE DOES NOT
WORk
4.6.1 Problems lighting the fire
Open the primary air and the smoke register
Use well-dried wood
Check that the flue pipe is suitable for the stove
being used;
4.6.2 Smoke comes out of plate
Check that the primary air register is open
Check that the chimney connection has no leaks
Check that ashes and combustion residues are
not clogging the discharge duct or the grille
