Installation Instructions
The Home Bed Assist Handle is designed for use
with most mattress and box spring type beds.
1.
Remove contents from carton.
2.
Slide end of nylon strap over opposite end of
the straight pole, leaving room for the handle
to be installed. Repeat for the second pole.
3.
Attach handle section over the end of the
straight pole by depressing brass push pin
and sliding into place, making sure push pin
snaps back into place. This will secure the
strap to the bed assist handle (Figure 1).

4. Remove mattress from the bed.
5.
Position safety rail at desired position. The
space between the vertical handle bars and
other bedside device or bed board must be
less than 2.25 inches (60mm), or larger than
9.25 inch (235mm).
6.
Unbuckle strap. Wrap strap around the
underside of the box spring / bed frame and
re-buckle to secure in place. Tighten strap as
necessary (Figure 2).

7.
Return mattress to bed (Figure 3).

WARNING
· This assist handle is intended for assisting in
and out of bed only. DO NOT use for other
purposes.
· Mattress must fit bed frame and assist handle
snugly to prevent potential patient entrapment.
· Follow installation instruction to prevent
potential patient entrapment.
· Patient entrapment may cause injury or death!
