Indication:
The titanium bonding base is used to manufacture individual
abutments on implants. The titanium bonding bases act as
an interface between the implant and the zirconium super-
structure or zirconium crown.
Contraindication:
It is imperative to ensure that components are only combined
with compatible implant systems. This also applies to the corres-
ponding platform diameter.
The DD titanium bonding bases may not be used in the following
situations:
• Intolerance with regard to the components contained
• if the implant position displays angulation of more than 18°
• The titanium bonding bases may only be used by expert
personnel in combination with the current applicable
instructions for use.
• The titanium bonding bases may only be used in combination
with the DD implant library.
• If the implant interface is damaged, the titanium bonding
bases may not be used.
Material:
The DD Ti-Base and DD Implant Screw are made of Ti6AI4V
(medical grade 5) ASTM 136 ELI. The black lab screw is made
of stainless steel (1.4305) and the blue lab screw is made of
titanium (Ti6AI4V).
Instructions for use:
The shape may be adapted to the anatomical conditions as a
base for an individual ceramic abutment. Diamond tools with
water cooling and low pressure should be used for processing the
ceramic abutments. The wall thickness must not fall below the mi-
nimum of 0,5 mm. Sharp edges and burrs must be avoided in all
cases. It is possible to use a veneer with the ceramic super-struc-
ture Use a suitable veneer material for the veneer and follow the
manufacturer's instructions. In each case, the veneer must be
completed before bonding. The bonding surface of the titanium
bonding base and the ceramic structure should be treated with
Al²O³ blasting agent 50μm and max, 2 bar before bonding. Then
the surfaces should be cleaned and bonded using a suitable bon-
ding material in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
After hardening, any residual adhesive on the basal surface and in
the screw channel should be removed carefully.
For use in the model, only use the laboratory screw (max. torque
10 Ncm).
Practice:
The individual abutment is inserted into the patient's mouth
with the silver-coloured implant screw.
Note: The implant screw should be tightened with the sys-
tem-specific torque (see table).

Cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing:
The DD Ti-Base and accompanying implant screws are cleaned
at Dental Direkt, but are not sterilized before being packaged.
After processing and before being used on the patient, the
implant components must be cleaned, disinfected and sterilized
following the procedure described by Dental Direkt.
