The solar heat output available is directly linked to the
temperature difference between the internal indirect coil and
the water in the cylinder. The higher the temperature of the
internal indirect coil in relation to the water in the cylinder, the
more solar thermal heating output there is available. On the
other hand, the greater the heat output available, the shorter
the heating time.
In this way, the "delt" parameter allows us to define the
minimum available performance range, below which the user
considers that the heating times are no longer acceptable and
therefore the heat pump refrigeration cycle has to be used in
conjunction with the solar auxiliary system.
Higher "delt" values mean that the heat pump will be activated
more regularly in order to guarantee a better available
performance and, as a result, faster water heating. Lower "delt"
values mean that the heat pump will only start working when
there is almost no available solar energy, and thereby
guarantee better economy, however this could cause longer
heating times.
If the temperature of the internal indirect coil is lower than the
temperature of the water in the cylinder, this means that there
is no available solar energy.
The "Tmin" parameter allows us to define the temperature of
the water in the cylinder below which the appliance will start
working (refrigeration cycle or auxiliary electric heater,
depending on the conditions and the parameter setting)
independently of the available solar thermal heating output
(defined via the "Tmin" parameter). In other words, the "Tmin"
parameter defines the temperature of the water below which
the user will choose to prioritise comfort and reduced heating
time over the economy obtained by using the solar auxiliary
system. When there is solar thermal heating output available,
the water will be heated by the solar thermal system in
conjunction with the refrigeration cycle or the auxiliary electric
heater.
Auxiliary system: boiler "Boil"
When the boiler is activated as the "boil" auxiliary system,
whenever it is necessary to use the auxiliary electric heater the
system activates the boiler, provided there is available heat
output.
Similarly to the solar auxiliary system, the "delt" parameter
allows us to define the minimum available performance range
below which the user considers that the heating times are no
longer acceptable and therefore the auxiliary electric heater
must be used in conjunction with the boiler.
Higher "delt" values mean that the auxiliary electric heater will
be activated more regularly in order to guarantee a better
available performance and, as a result, faster water heating.
Lower "delt" values mean that the auxiliary electric heater will
10
only start working when the boiler has almost no available heat
output, which could cause longer heating times.
Also similarly to the solar auxiliary system, when the boiler is
the chosen auxiliary system, the "Tmin" parameter defines the
temperature of the water in the cylinder below which the
appliance will start working (refrigeration cycle or auxiliary
electric heater, depending on the conditions and the
parameter setting) independently of the available boiler heat
output (defined via the "Tmin" parameter"). Once the boiler
has replaced the auxiliary electric heater, the Tmin will only
have a practical effect when there are conditions for electric
heater operation (for example: "Elec" mode, water
temperature above 60°C, etc.). In these situations, when the
water temperature goes below the "Tmin", and provided there
is available heat output from the boiler, the electric heater
works in conjunction with the boiler.

4.1.1 Defining the auxiliary system

▶ Call up the "Coil" menu using the "+" or "-" button.

▶ Press "OK".
The display shows "Product Type".
In this menu you can select a direct auxiliary system (solar
system or floor standing boiler) and set the operating
parameters.
