Soft Start
To ensure proper lubrication of the bearings the pump has a default
WARNING
setting called Soft Start. If the pump has been sitting for an extended
period or on its initial startup the controller will automatically start in soft
start. This mode of operation brings the product up to speed over an
extended amount of time.
This automatic operating mode cannot be deactivated by the user. The
user can possibly decide to start the product always in "Soft Start" mode,
acting on an appropriate serial command, as specified below.
The "Soft Start" mode allows the correct redistribution of the grease present in the
bearings, after a long period of inactivity.
The "Soft Start" mode is automatically activated in the following cases:

At the first starting;
2
After 60 days from reaching the last moment in "FULL SPEED" condition.
The Soft Start mode is completed when the pump reaches the full speed value
NOTE
and it is able to maintain this value stable for a certain length of time (roughly
2 minutes). The soft start completion can be easily checked by the GREEN LED
that is located on the controller cover. When the light displayed by the GREEN Led
is solid (no blink), it means that the soft start mode has been completed
successfully. Refer to the section "Startup and Operation of the TwisTorr 305-IC"
in this manual to get further information about the LED indicators meaning.
This mode can be activated manually using the serial command WIN100.
WARNING
The WIN 100 has no effect on the automatic soft start at the first starting
and after 60 days from the last moment in FULL SPEED.
