AC 4019
FUEL/TURBO PRESSURE CONTROL KIT/(-1/+9bar)
This measuring position must be observed. The AC 4019 can, however, be connected to
any suction line, as the pressure is distributed evenly throughout the area. As an option
for connecting the AC 4019, there is, for example, the connection of the vacuum lines to
the suction tube or the suction bend. It is also possible to install a T (supplied) in a pipe to
connect the measuring instrument. It is also possible to mount a gearbox. The measurement
will not be affected.
Control operation:
Check only when the engine is hot.
The measurement instructions of each car manufacturer must be observed. If these do not
exist, apply the following instructions:
• The maximum inlet pressure occurs at the time of the maximum torque. This state can only
be created under driving conditions. This means that the test with this device is carried out
on a rolling test bench or during a journey.
• If the values of the maximum torque do not occur, the check is preferably carried out in
3rd position. At the beginning of the measurement, keep the rotation speed at about 1500
rpm, then fully depress the accelerator pedal and observe the deviation of the measuring
instrument.
• First the inlet pressure will increase, it will reach its highest value and then it will fall back.
The maximum inlet pressure measured at this time is reached at different rotational speeds
depending on the characteristics of each engine. For this reason, no precise, generally valid
indication of the rotational speed can be made.
• The value of the maximum inlet pressure can be compared with the manufacturer's
specifications.
• If the maximum inlet pressure is not reached, the following error possibilities are possible:
• Defective inlet pressure control valve.
• Suction or exhaust side not tight.
• Defective turbocharger.
Pressure/vacuum control low pressure fuel supply system
The control measurements are carried out at the dead point.
The control can be done in 2 ways:
A) Pressure measurement
• Connect the recording equipment via the connections on the ring screw between the
outlet of the circulation pump and the filter.
• Start the engine.
• The vacuum gauge indicates the opening pressure of the return valve. If the opening
pressure is too high/low, the valve must be adjusted.
• Compare the measured values with the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
B) Vacuum measurement
• Connect the recording equipment via the connections between the tank and the suction
side of the circulation pump.
• The vacuum gauge indicates the vacuum of the suction line.
• By compressing the control tube the highest pressure of the pump is displayed.
• Compare the measured values with the vehicle manufacturer's specifications (replace the
circulation pump if necessary).
When the measurement is complete, return the vehicle to its original condition.
