INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION:
• Do not exceed three (3) holes tension for 180º door opening or four (4) holes tension for 90º opening
• Always rotate the allen key clockwise regardless of right or left-hand door application
• For doors with two (2) spring hinges, use a standard butt hinge at the top position and spring hinges at the middle and bottom positions
INSTALLATION:
1. Install hinge in a normal manner with the tension-adjuster hole facing up.
2. Place the door in the closed position.
3. Insert the allen key in the tension-adjuster hole at the top of the hinge barrel.
4. Rotate the tension-adjuster clockwise with the allen key (included) to adjust spring tension. Note: adjust spring hinges to
minimum tension required to close the door. Over-tensioning will reduce spring life.
5. Line up the tension hole with hinge barrel hole and insert the tension pin (included). Slowly release pressure on the allen key.
6. Remove the allen key and test the door for closing force. If desired closing force is not achieved, repeat steps 2 to 5 until closing
force is satisfactory.
7. To make tension adjustment tamper-proof, snip off the end of the tension pin. Do not snip off if future adjustment may be needed.
