Gas input for direct vent fireplace insert converted to
Propane Gas:
• DVCP36(PP,SP)30 32,000 Btu per hour
• DVCP36(PP,SP)70 32,000 Btu per hour
The direct vent gas fireplace when converted to Propane
Gas will have a manifold pressure approximately 10.0" w.c.
(2.49 kPa) for a maximum input or 4.9" w.c. (1.220 kPa) for
a minimum input at the valve outlet with the inlet pressure
to the valve from a minimum of 11.0" w.c. (2.739 kPa)
for the purpose of input adjustment to a maximum of
13.0" w.c. (3.235 kPa).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONVERSION
1. If the fireplace insert is installed, turn OFF gas
and electric supply to fireplace before making gas
conversion.
2. Remove access panel below glass; lift and pull away
from fireplace.
3. Release the two glass frame spring clamps beneath
one of the two glass frames.
4. Remove the glass frame and screen frame as an
assembly.
5. Remove logs from burner assembly.
6. Remove the ten screws around the burner perimeter,
and remove the false floor from the burner assembly.
7. Remove the four screws retaining the burner to the
burner base, and remove burner.
8. Remove Natural Gas main burner orifice from orifice
fitting.

9. Install Propane Gas main burner orifice into orifice fitting:
10. Pull upward on pilot hood to remove and gain access
11. Remove Natural Gas pilot injector orifice from pilot
12. Insert Included Propane Gas pilot injector orifice into
13. Re-install pilot hood to pilot assembly. Push downward

16. Adjust air shutter setting to 3/16" open (1/8" with 40 ft.
17. Replace the burner assembly on to the burner base.
18. Replace the false floor to the burner.
19. For vertically vented installations only, replace the flue
