Wall-Mounted Installation

For heights up to 3 m
= 90°
For wall-mounted installation up to a slope angle of 74°,
flat roof holders are screwed on to customer-provided
substructures or are fastened directly to the wall with wall
plugs (provided the wall has sufficient load-bearing capaci-
ty). For this, holes are drilled in the centre of the bottom
rail.
For thermally insulated façades, make sure that the foun-
dation has sufficient compressive strength. Appropriate
fixing materials can be purchased from producers of ther-
mal insulation systems.
The fixing material you choose (wall plugs, etc.) must meet
static requirements and be suitable for the on-site brick-
work.
Minimum pull-out loads of the wall plugs
Applies for directly fastening the flat roof holders to the
wall:
• 2 kN for buildings up to 8 m tall
• 3 kN for buildings between 8 and 20 m tall
If these values cannot by reached, then more attachment
points must be sought. For example, a customer-provided
substructure of horizontal rails to which the flat roof hol-
ders are screw-fastened.
The construction party is responsible for providing
on-site support structures.

Where possible, install the collector at an angle to the wall.
Use the holders described in the installation instructions
for this.
For angles larger than 60° (e.g. vertical installation on the
wall), fit the top of the collectors on-site with a cover plate.
During heavy rainfall, water could otherwise get into the
collector via the ventilation holes. Metal flashing should
also be secured against effects of the wind.
An additional cover plate is not necessary if the roof offers
sufficient protection.
