STEP 4. START UP AND TEST CONTROLLER.
1. Complete all wiring, including wiring the contactor for the
heat-tracing panel.
2. Install the cover. Note that the cover is keyed and must be
aligned correctly for proper sealing.
3. Apply power to the module.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the unit is not operating properly, check the following:
• Verify that the unit is energized.
• Verify that the contactor is operating properly.
• Verify that the RTD is operating properly by exposing to a
cold temperature.
Alarm conditions
Alarms are caused by the following conditions:
• Ambient temperature below minimum setpoint (TMIN).
• Broken or disconnected RTD.
• Loss of power to controller.
• Ambient temperature above 150°F (65°C).
Once the fault condition has been cleared, the ALARM relay will
reset automatically.

4. Check the heating cable panel contactor to verify that it is
switching properly. To check operation, disconnect the RTD
or turn off power to the unit. The heat-tracing panel should
be energized.
5. To verify that the ALARM relay is operating, turn off power to
the unit or disconnect the RTD. The device switched by the
ALARM relay should activate.
