MEMORY FUNCTION (option 010 537)
The Memory Function enables the Sentronic to keep a setting and to hold the corresponding pressure in the output of port 2.
All other bit combinations presented are ignored as long as Pin L is held in Logic value 1 (memory).
When Pin L is in Logic value 0, the valve considers all variations of bit combinations which are presented at the valve digital input.
When the signal of pin L (memory) goes from logic 0 to logic 1 (edge detection), the valve considers the last binary
combination presented at that moment at the valve input, and memorizes it as long as pin L (memory) is held in logic 1.
During this memorization, no new combinations are taken into account.
APPLICATION :
This function can be used for Multiplexing; in other words : reducing the number of output channels by using only 8 data
lines, plus one extra line for each Sentronic valve. (wiring simplification).
Example : command of 3 valves with 11 PLC outputs.
SENTRONIC N°3
PROCEDURE :
• Normally all memory lines are kept at logic 1
• To change the ouput pressure apply the digital set point (bit combination) and switch pin L to low
(logic 0) and then after minimum 20 msec to high (logic 1).
The signal must stay in logic 0 for minimum 20 ms.
The binary combination presented is thus memorized until the next manipulation.
