Please complete the assembly procedure of screw and attachments-refer drawing (Fig. 4-1,4-2,4-3) so that you can Lock the screw on to generator. Check the oil level BEFORE EACH USE with the generator on a level surface with the engine stopped. Use McCulloch 4-stroke oil, or and equivalent high detergent, premium quality motor oil certified to meet or exceed U.S. automobile manufacturer’s requirements for Service Classification SG, SF/CC, CD. Motor oils classified SG, SF/CC, CD will show this designation on the container. -

GENERATOR OPERATIONS Circuit Breaker The circuit breaker (A) will automatically switch OFF if there is a short circuit or a significant overload of the genera- tor at the receptacle. - Page 17 The ground terminal can be used to earth the generator or bond the frame of the generator to the frame of a vehicle, but only if it is required by locallaw or electrical code. Before using the ground terminal consult a qualified electrician or electrical inspector for regulations in your area.

8-3A 8-3B 8-3. FILTER SERVICE A dirty air cleaner will restrict air flow to the carburetor. To prevent carburetor malfunction, service the air cleaner regularly. Service more frequently when operating the generator in extremely dusty areas. WARNING Using gasoline or flammable solvent to clean the filter element can cause a fire or explosion. Use only soapy water or nonflammable solvent. -

8-4A 8-5A 8-5B 8-4. SPARK PLUG SERVICE To ensure proper engine operation, the spark plug must be properly gapped and free of deposits. If the engine has been running, the muffler will be very hot. Be careful not to touch the muffler. 1. - Page 24 8-5. AC CIRCUIT BREAKER SERVICE If AC circuit breakers require replacement they must be replaced with a circuit breakers having identical ratings and performance characteristics.
