4. Protective safety
functions
The anti-freezing protection of the heat
exchanger
The heat exchanger is equipped with anti-
freezing protection. When cold weather
involves risk that the heat exchanger will
freeze, the controller decreases the speed of
the supply air. The supply air fan stops if the
supply air temperature drops further. This
protective function automatically resets itself
when the temperature rises.
Electric air heater
An automatic thermal overload cut out
switches off the air heater if a fault situation
arises. This protection device automatically
resets itself when the air heater has cooled
down.
The thermal overload cut out with manual
reset can be reset by pressing a button inside
the ventilation unit. The location of the push
button is marked with a circle in the adjacent
image. If you sense that the button clicks
when you press it down, then the thermal
overload cut out is reset.
The thermal overload cut out of the fans
The fans have thermal overload cut outs,
which stop them if the temperature rises too
high. The controller also stops the fans if a
serious malfunction occurs in the ventila-
EN
tion unit. The protective function resets itself
automatically when the temperature drops or
the malfunction has been remedied.
SA limit
The function reduces the Away operating
mode's fan speed of the supply air fan, if the
supply air temperature drops below the sum of
the "Min. supply temp" and "Setpoint diff."
values. The supply air fan will stop completely
if the temperature drops further, below the
"Min. supply temp" value. The functions will
automatically return to normal operation when
the supply air temperature exceeds the above
mentioned setting values. The factory settings
are: "Min. supply temp" 11 °C and "Setpoint
diff." 3 °C.
