Use

ATTENTION!
❐ Scalding hazard! Never point the steam towards people, animals, plants or equipment con-
taining electric components (e. g. stereo systems, televisions, switches, lights, microwave
appliances etc.).
❐ Scalding hazard! Only hold the appliance by the handle during operation.
❐ Scalding hazard! After deactivating the appliance, hot steam is emitted for a few seconds!
Even after the appliance has cooled off, the water in the tank is still hot! Be careful!
❐ Always shut off the appliance and pull the mains plug out of the socket before you remove
the fl oor pad or change the nozzle.
❐ ATTENTION! Scalding hazard! The fl oor pad / nozzle may be very hot during and shortly
after use. For this reason, wait a few minutes for the cloth / nozzle to cool off completely
before you remove it.
❐ ATTENTION! Damage to property! Do not use the device on very cold glass surfaces.
❐ Each time before using the appliance, check the fl oor pad for wear. It may not be used if it is
visibly worn down or is damaged. Otherwise it could damage your fl oor.
❐ Only use the appliance when it is undamaged and has been completely assembled.
❐ Never apply the vapour stream to one area for more than approximately 10 seconds. Other-
wise, it could damage the surface.
Cleaning the fl oor
It is recommended that you briefl y sweep the fl oor surface with a broom or vacuum it
before using the appliance.
1. Mount the handle bar with the handle and the cleaning head on the main unit. Attach the
fl oor pad to the cleaning head and, if you would like to clean a carpet, the carpet cleaning
head (see chapter "Assembling the appliance").
2. Fill the water tank (see chapter "Filling the water tank").
3. Hang the power cord in the cord holder (2) for better handling of the steam cleaner when
cleaning fl oors and so that you do not trip over the cord.
4. Turn the knob for the steam quantity control (11) to the minimum.
5. Park the appliance in an upright position. The hinge of the cleaning head locks in when in an
upright position.
6. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket that is easily accessible. Push the
switch (13) on the front of the main unit. The power LED (10) will illuminate in red as soon as
operating voltage is present. Wait a few minutes until the appliance has reached the operating
temperature.
7. Now you can start to clean the fl oor. Set the knob for the steam quantity control (11) from
position 0 to 1. Steam will begin to be emitted from the cleaning head. You can now increase
the quantity of steam by turning the knob for the steam quantity control.
Note: After the knob is turned, it will take a few seconds until the respective steam quantity
is reached.
