5. BEFORE PUTTING THE EQUIPMENT INTO OPERATION

ATTACHING SANDING PAPER
Always ensure that the machine is switched off and plug is removed from the power
point before making any adjustment.
1.
Select the required grade of sanding paper.
2.
Remove any dust or debris from the hook and loop of the base.
3.
To attach hook & loop type sanding paper simply align the holes in the sanding paper
with the holes in the sanding base and press firmly into
place.
4.
To remove the sanding paper, peel it away from the base.
WARNING: Do not continue to use the sander with a sanding paper that
is overworn or damaged.
WARNING: Do not use the same sanding paper for wood and metal.
Metal particles become embedded in the sanding paper and will scour
a wooden surface.
WARNING: Take care to regularly clean out the build up of dust on the
base underneath the sanding paper and not to let the sanding paper
wear completely down before replacing it. Failure to observe these two
precautionary measures can lead to damage to the hooks and loops on the
base and the sanding paper will not attach properly.
WARNING: Clean the air vents on your power tool regularly. The
motor's fan will draw the dust inside the housing and excessive
accumulation of powdered metal may cause electrical hazards.
NOTE: Hook and loop sanding base is not a warranty item.
REPLACING THE SANDING PAD
1.
To replace the pad, first remove the sandpaper.
2.
Undo the screw holding the sanding pad in place.
3.
Align the new pad so that it fits in the recess on the sole.
4.
Fasten the pad with the screw.
5.
Press on a suitable sandpaper.
